People often come to me who have tried traditional talk therapy and are looking for something a little different. I take a holistic approach to healing that invites all of you into our work and creates a nonjudgmental space for your many parts to express themselves. I believe in the innate capacity of each person to heal when we let the body’s wisdom guide us and approach what arises with curiosity and compassion. I see my role as your witness and ally in this process, supporting you with attunement, new tools, and insights about the brain and nervous system while you come to your own answers at your unique pace.

My values

I’m not here to fix, heal or change you, but to be with you in your vulnerable moments in a way that guides you towards your own wisdom. I believe that just as a wound on the skin naturally heals given the right conditions, our bodies, minds and nervous systems also instinctively move towards healing when given the presence, compassion and space to connect with the parts of us that carry wounding.

I welcome people of all identities to my practice and aim to be inclusive and affirming of diversity (diversity of gender, sexuality, ability, neurotype, race, body size and so on). Together we will create space to explore not just your personal experiences and identity, but how intergenerational traumas and marginalization may have contributed to both the wounds and resilience that you carry.

My approach

I describe my style as gentle, warm and playful. I sit somewhere in the middle between direct and indirect, meaning that I won't just quietly listen and nod while you talk but I also won't tell you what to do with your life. Instead, I aim to support you in peeling back the layers so you can connect with your deepest self and that sense of inner knowing.

My primary approach is somatic and relational; which means that the main ingredients that make the therapy work are the relationship between us and what's showing up in your body moment to moment. Somatic therapies help us extend beyond the reach of the often-cartwheeling cognitive mind to touch what most needs our attention and healing under the surface. I find this approach to be most helpful in repairing from past traumas and unsticking from the long-held patterns from which we haven't been able to think or talk our way out.

Some specific modalities that we may use in this process are EMDR, ego-state/parts work such as Internal Family Systems, mindfulness and visualization, and practices informed by Polyvegal Theory and Interpersonal Neurobiology.

Me outside the therapy office

If you're curious about any aspects of my personal life or identity, I'm pretty comfortable answering any questions you might have! I'll start by sharing that I'm a Jewish, white, neurodivergent cis-woman who loves nature and animals. Outside of my therapy work I like to spend time outside and keep my body moving by going on walks, rock-climbing, dancing or swimming in rivers. Personal growth and healing are very important to me and I attend my own therapy as well as seek ongoing professional consultation with other therapists.

Being a therapist has been my dream career since I was 13 and there's genuinely nothing that gives me more joy, awe and heart-tingles than the deep relationships I get to form and the healing I have the honor of witnessing in this work.
